Our building project

Mandeville School is very fortunate to be part of the Primary Capital Programme (PCP). We have been approved for a multimillion extension and refurbishment programme.

The final design is very exciting, with facilities that have learning at their heart and reflect best practice ideas in early years education and ICT. The building is designed to be inclusive of the community and will include excellent community facilities, including sports, library and ICT access. The focus on learning will extend to the grounds, which are designed to encourage children to learn about nature and the environment. The designers have worked hard to ensure the grounds support family and friendships, encouraging the development of social skills and physical activity.

Work began in May 2010, the first phase is expected to be complete by April 2011 and the whole project is due to be completed by September 2011. This is an extremely exciting project for Mandeville School, designed to ensure we offer outstanding facilities to children for many years to come.
