As an Academy we manage all of our own in-year admissions and Nursery admissions whilst Herts County Council co-ordinates our Reception admissions. All admissions to Reception and Nursery start with a home visit to support each child's transition into their new school.

Reception Admissions
We welcome children into Reception in the September following their 4th birthday. The application process for September 2027 (for children whose date of birth is between 1st September 2022 and 31st August 2023) will close on 15th January 2027. Allocation day for primary school places is 16th April 2027.

- 10am to 12pm on Saturday 17th October 2026
- 5pm to 7pm on Thursday 3rd December 2026
and if you aren't able to make these sessions we will also be holding tours on:
- 10am to 11am Wednesday 14th October 2026
- 10am to 11am Monday 16th November 2026

Allocations are managed by Hertfordshire County Council and all important dates are detailed on their website here.
In-Year Admissions
As an academy we co-ordinate all of our own in-year admissions.
If you would like to apply for a place at Mandeville School please contact the school on 01727 519220 or complete the in-year application form below.

Places for years in which we are over-subscribed are allocated in line with the HCC Admission rules - our Determined Admissions Criteria Document can be found below.
Secondary Applications
If your child is in Year 6 you need to apply for their secondary school place by Friday 31st October 2025.
