We had a great Sports Week at the end of June. Early Years had their main event on 27 June and were really lucky to avoid the rain until the end. The older school had their main event on 29 June. It was a new format and the children took part in different activities including crawling and skipping.

All the children....and teachers enjoyed taking part in the Sporting Week !

  • Olivia ! Year 5 and 6 Production

Tue 18 Jul 2017 Lindsey Punter

Year 5 and 6 put on an amazing production of Olivia ! This brilliant and innovative show, set in Victorian times, traces the steps of Olivia, from downtrodden orphan to star of the stage - and we saw Year 5 and 6 all being the stars of the show. Mrs Longhurst said it was the best performance she had ever seen - and she has seen 17 different performances.

So well done to everyone in Years 5 and 6 - a fantastic show !

  • Happy 1st Birthday Molly!

    Fri 14 Jul 2017

Molly celebrated her first birthday in style!! One child from every class in the school was chosen to attend the party. The children were chosen because they consistently work hard  and are excellent role models in their classes.

Everyone had a wonderful time with fabulous doggie cup cakes and lots of presents for Molly.  Baby Nancy helped her blow the candles out.

  • Triathlon

Mon 10 Jul 2017 Lindsey Punter
All of our KS2 children thoroughly enjoyed the Mini Triathlon on Tuesday 4th July at Westminster Lodge. All of the children were given medals which they were super proud of and enjoyed showing them off. Well done to all the children that participated, they did really well.
“ We went to Westminster Lodge to do a triathlon which was led by Triathlon Trust. At first many of us were quite nervous, but once we started the swimming we found it fun. The jog to the track in wet clothes was a new experience, but quite funny. Everyone was kitted out to cycle the track and most people found this part the most exciting leg. Finally, we had to run a lap of the track, finishing with a medal. It was a really enjoyable event and lots of us were inspired to try it out again.”
    Hannah, Year 6.
