  • Year 1 outdoor area.

    Thu 06 Dec 2018 E. Bundy
On Saturday, further work was carried out to improve the Year 1 outdoor area. The compost bins were emptied and relocated. The tyres were filled up with soil, ready to plant flowers and plants in during the Spring term and bark mulch was spread across the area to make it more accessible. Big thanks to Mr Morris, Mrs Davies, Miss Miller and Mr Howell for giving up their Saturday to help with the gardening efforts!
  • Forest School

    Tue 27 Nov 2018 E. Bundy
Last Thursday afternoon Year 1 enjoyed a fabulous Forest Learning session. We carefully built a fire using kindling and logs, ensuring we remembered one of the most important Forest Learning rules to always walk around the fire pit. After the fire was burning we made flatbread. We put flour, oil, salt and water in a Ziploc bag and mixed it together to make a soft, springy dough. Once we had kneaded the dough we flattened it into small, thin circles ready to cook on the fire. Mr Howell helped us to cook the flatbread on the fire, making sure he turned them halfway through so they cooked evenly on both sides. Finally, we ate our flatbread with raspberry jam - it was delicious!
  • Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

    Fri 09 Nov 2018 E. Bundy

This Wednesday our Years 2,3,4,5 and 6 went to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the Alban Arena. All children were very excited and here is what they thought: "On Wednesday we walked to the Alban Arena to see the play. The show was amazing, fantastic and super and a bit scary because of the childcatcher. We though Truly Scrumptious was good at singing and being the doll. It was awesome when the car was flying! We all had a lovely time and wish we could go again."

  • Poetry Slam

    Fri 05 Oct 2018
To celebrate National Poetry Day 2018 all the children from Y1-Y6 did an amazing job learning a poem off by heart and performing it in class. This Friday we had a poetry slam where all the class winners performed and they did a fabulous job. Some Sixth Form students from Marlborough came to judge the competition, giving the performers some excellent tips beforehand. They had a tough job but in 3rd place was a great choral poem from Oscar, Max and Oliver from Y5, in 2nd place was the expressive Bea from Y1 and the winner was Lucia from Y4 who had written her own poem for change about a homeless girl which she performed with conviction and clarity. Thank you to all the winners and to Marlborough for lending us Tabi, Sophie, Madison, Danielle, Muhaimin and Yamuna.
  • Y6 School Journey to Condover

Fri 05 Oct 2018 Mim, Hameem and Toby
Over the weekend, Y6 went to Condover Hall. During our time there, we were amazed at how much we could do when we put our minds to it. Many of us were challenged to take risks, but we managed to face our fears and do it. There were so many activities and we all achieved our best. We would all like to thank our parents and teachers for making this possible. It was one of the best experiences of our lives and we will never forget it.
  • Endeavour Award- July 2018

    Fri 20 Jul 2018
A huge well done to Tasnia and the resilience that she has demonstrated over the last year. Tasnia has had to have lots of time off school and yet when in class she always works hard to catch up on her work, remains positive and comes in with a smile. She has had to undertake a great deal of independent learning by listening carefully and asking her peers questions. She is a wonderful friend and liked by everyone in her class who are immensely proud of her

    Fri 20 Jul 2018
Congratulations Evan on receiving the Resilience award. Whilst Evan has had to miss a great deal of school he still makes the most of every second when he is in the classroom. He works quietly and thoughtfully whilst contributing and often having to work independently. He is missed by everyone when he is away and he is always desperate to meet and catch up with his friends when he returns. Well done Evan on your resilience and positive attitude.

Alfie is always willing to work with anyone in his class often helping and supporting them and likewise he has been an excellent buddy to Anwar. He works hard in his community raising money for a number of good causes but especially raising money for a local man who had his holiday money stolen.
  • Sports Week

    Fri 29 Jun 2018 E. Bundy
Despite the hot weather this week we all had a eventful Sports Week. All children took part in a variety of activities during the week including their favourite trampolining. The whole week finished with competitive running races where all parents were invited to come and enjoy this spectacle. Thank you to all of those who came to support their children and also to those who provided us with well needed gazebos. Well done to all!
