School Lunches
All children in Reception, years 1 & 2 are now eligible for a Universal Free School Meal every day. To find out more please visit the office.
Our caterers Edwards & Blake provide a delicious, nutritionally balanced meal every day. The comprehensive menu always contains a meat and vegetarian option. Baked potatoes are offered daily and a Halal option three times a week. In addition to the main course a salad bar and a bread basket are available every day.
Each day there is fresh fruit, yogurts and cheese. Three times a week a hot pudding or cold dessert is on offer.
If you would like to have a complete list of ingredients, or your child has any allergies or special medical requirement (as confirmed by a GP), please contact the School Office.
Payment for meals should be made termly in advance. Payments should be made via Arbor.
The alternative to a school meal is a packed lunch. Children who bring a packed lunch eat in the dining room at the same time as the rest of the school. Lunches should be brought in a plastic box with the child’s name clearly written on the top. We do not provide plates or cutlery for packed lunches. Water is available. We cannot accommodate glass ‘Thermos’ flasks, bottles or cans of any kind, but we do allow plastic flasks, pre-packed cardboard containers with an integral straw or screw top drink containers.
Packed lunches should contain healthy food, please do not give your child fizzy or sugary drinks, sweets or chocolate bars and we ask that you limit crisps. A small piece of chocolate or a treat containing chocolate is allowed on a Friday.

Snacks and Drinks
What children eat and drink has a direct effect on how well they learn; for this reason we encourage children to drink plenty of water and children in the early years and Keystage 1 are provided with a healthy snack mid-morning. The school is part of the National Fruit Scheme and each child in nursery, reception, years 1 and 2 receives a piece of fruit or vegetable, provided free of charge each day.
Older children can bring a piece of fruit or vegetable to school to eat during the mid-morning break, but not biscuits, sweets or chocolate please.
Milk
Milk is available free to nursery and reception children and those in receipt of Free School Meals due to economic circumstances.
