Bike It dates for you
Our school has recently joined the Sustrans' Bike It scheme. As part of this scheme, there are a number of projects organised by our Bike It officer coming up that you can take part it. You can also read more about the Bike It project here.
Bikers breakfast
Friday 20th April. ALL welcome, everybody who comes in on a bike for all or part of the journey will receive a FREE breakfast, everybody who attends will also be entered in a raffle, where lots of prizes are to be won. A letter should be going home as soon as pupils come back with a return slip, so I know roughly how much food to prepare - so parents should look out for this.
Ditch the stabilisers sessions
Dates to be confirmed shortly, a three week after school club which is aimed at pupils who are ready to progress to riding without stabilisers or may have a bike but can't ride it yet. Course will be £5 and places will be limited.
Parents who would like to help with this club are welcome and should contact me or Mrs. Ellingham for more info.
Puncture repair workshop.
Dates to be confirmed, will run during lunchtime for KS2, free of charge, pupils will learn how to do a safety check on their bike and fix and puncture.
Parents training
Those parents who would like to help to get started riding or just to gain some confidence for riding on the road with their child, are asked to get in touch with me by Friday 27th April 2012. Small groups or individuals, on a ad hoc basis.
